In the case of López Álvarez,
the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (hereinafter “the Court”, “the InterAmerican Court”, or “the Tribunal”), composed of the following judges**:

pursuant to Articles 62(3) and 63(1) of the American Convention on Human Rights
(hereinafter “the Convention” or “the American Convention”) and Articles 29, 31, 56,
and 58 of the Court’s Rules of Procedure (hereinafter “the Rules of Procedure”),
delivers the present Judgment.



Judge Diego García-Sayán informed the Court that, due to reasons of force majeure, he could not
be present in the deliberation and signing of the present Judgment.
