The request to protect the physical, psychological and moral integrity of Loayza Tamayo is based on facts surrounding her prison conditions and subsequently incommunicado detention. The measures were lifted when Mrs. Loayza Tamayo was released.

In November 2010, the measures were requested again to guarantee her safety when returning to Peru.
