Centro de Derechos Humanos Miguel A. Pro Juárez
Provisional Measure- Summary
The request for protection for members of the Center of Human Rights Miguel Agustín Pro Juárez concerns the extrajudicial execution of their colleague Digna Ochoa and threats left next to her corpse that were directed towards members of the Center. The protection measures also included Digna Ochoa's parents and siblings, given the harassment they faced during their quest for justice.
In April 2004, the Inter-American Court partially lifted the protective measures, maintaining them for attorneys Pilar Noriega García, Bárbara Zamora López, and Leonel Rivero, as well as Digna Ochoa’s parents and siblings.
