41 124(9) The indigenous organization YAPTI TASBA NANIH ASLATAKANKA (hereinafter “YATAMA”), which means “the organization of the people of Mother Earth” or “the organization of the sons of Mother Earth,”33 emerged in the 1970s in the municipality of Waspam under the name of Alianza para el Progreso de los Pueblos Miskitus y Sumos (ALPROMISU), and expanded towards the RAAN.
