November 21, 2018.72 However, E.K. presented new appeals that month and during the following year (infra paras. 163 and 164). He finally testified on November 16, 2020. 73 70. On March 11, 2020, the Special Prosecutor presented a brief to the judge informing that “additional evidence remains to be gathered.”74 The following day, the court ordered everything that had been requested by the Special Prosecutor, sending the necessary communications and taking different measures.75 On September 8, 2020, the Special Prosecutor requested additional actions.76 71. On December 17, 2020, the Special Prosecutor requested an order of “imprisonment pending trial” for E.K., J.R. and J.G.77 He then summoned them to testify in a hearing.78 J.R and J.G requested that the cases be closed invoking prescription (infra para. 165). 72. On June 26, 2021, J.G. died.79 On July 14, 2021, the court became aware of the death of E.K. and stated that: Cf.
