(Interpretation of Judgment of Preliminary Objections, Merits,
Reparations, and Costs)
In the case of the Julien Grisonas Family v. Argentina,
the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (hereinafter “the Inter-American Court” or
“the Court”), composed of the following judges :∗

in accordance with Article 67 of the American Convention on Human Rights (hereinafter
also “the American Convention” or “the Convention”) and Article 68 of the Rules of
Procedure of the Court (hereinafter also "the Rules of Procedure") resolves the request
for interpretation of the judgment on preliminary objections, merits, reparations, and
costs issued by this Court on September 23, 2021, in this case (hereinafter also "the
judgment"), filed on March 21, 2022, by the representative of the victims (hereinafter
also “the representative”).

Judge Eugenio Raúl Zaffaroni, an Argentine national, did not take part in the processing, deliberation, or
signature of this judgment, in accordance with the provisions of Article 19(1) and (2) of the Court’s Rules of
Procedure. Judge Ricardo Pérez Manrique recused himself from participating in this case, pursuant to the
provisions of Article 19(2) of the Statute of the Court and Article 21 of its Rules of Procedure, which was accepted
by the President; he therefore did not participate in the deliberation and signature of this Judgment. Judge
Eduardo Vio Grossi did not take part in the deliberation and signature of this judgment for reasons of force
majeure. In accordance with Article 17(1) of the Rules of Procedure of the Court, Judge Patricia Pérez Goldberg
joins the Court.
